Alistair Overeem sentenced to 50 hours of community service

Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight Alistair Overeem was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and to undergo anger-management counseling as the result of a battery charge stemming from an incident at a Las Vegas nightclub on New Year's weekend. ... He also received a suspended 90-day jail sentence. If the conditions of his community service and counseling are met, the matter will be dismissed. Overeem is to appear in court on Sept. 26.
